Royal Holloway would like to offer one of our research students the opportunity to be funded to attend the Life Beyond the PhD conference in August.
Now in its twelfth year, the Life Beyond the PhD conference offers PhD students and early career researchers the opportunity to share their experiences with each other and to take part in invaluable training in communication, public engagement, and drafting interdisciplinary research proposals, while also being encouraged to think about the impact of their research within the wider context of society. One other focus of the programme is on mental-health and wellbeing, with a session exploring mental health in academia, and plenty of space built around the programme, creating an inclusive environment for doctoral students to exchange experiences, practices and aspirations.
