Generation Delta will be hosting their final workshop and conference on 9 & 10 September 2025. We warmly invite postgraduate research students who are women from racially minoritised backgrounds and also pay home fees to join us for this important event. As the project concludes in January 2026, this final gathering offers a valuable opportunity for eligible students to connect, reflect, and celebrate their journeys with us.
The University of Leeds will host a workshop on 'Training for Careers’ on Tuesday, 9th September 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm in Leeds, UK (only 25 spaces available, on a first come, first served basis). The following day will comenence the conference themed 'Academia Needs You' on 10th of September 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. See flyers attached.
Eligible students have the option to register to attend the workshop and/or the conference. Only students who opt to attend both the workshop and the conference will be provided with accommodation on the night of the 9th September 2025. However, all attendees of either the workshop and conference are eligible for transport reimbursement up to £125 per person. Catering will be provided on on both days.
Do not make any travel arrangements prior to hearing from the team. To avoid the events becoming oversubscribed, we have two steps to reserve your place on the workshop. First you will receive an email from the team to confirm that your details have been registered. Next, you will have an opportunity to let us know how you plan to travel to the event, and after you have provided the relevant details, we will send you a final confirmation email.
Online registration is required for the workshop (with an option to include the conference) or only the conference.
