Assessment Deadlines

PGT Assessment Deadlines 2017-18: coming soon

Submission of Coursework

ALL deadlines are 12 noon for formative and assessed submissions.

You should also check Moodle and individual course outlines for course-specific instructions.

Submitting Assessed coursework

1. One ELECTRONIC copy must be submitted to Turnitin via Moodle.

Students must also print and include the first page of the JISC report and attach this to their coursework (as this includes the paper ID number), and submit it to the departmental office H209 before noon on the deadline date or earlier. Unless advised by course leader, that you do not need to submit the work on turnitin.

2. One HARD copy must be submitted to the Economics Admin Office.

When students hand in the work, they will need to fill out an assessed coursework submission form and staple it with the JISC report and when the work is submitted they will be provided with a receipt, which students should keep.

In line with college rules, assessed work will be marked anonymously, the scripts will not be returned to students, but students will receive a copy of the submission form for feedback purposes.

Extenuating Circumstance

Illness or Other Extenuating Circumstances

If you are taken ill or there are other extenuating circumstances that you believe have adversely affected your performance in relation to any aspect of your course/programme (for example, your attendance, submission of work, or examination performance) at any point during the academic year, you must inform us in writing. You must complete the attached consideration of extenuating circumstances form and hand it in to the Admin Office (H209). This should be accompanied by any supporting evidence that you wish to be considered.

Do not assume that if you have discussed your situation with your personal advisor or any other member of staff, that this will automatically mean that your circumstances will be taken into account. It is in your interest to fill-out the form and provide as much evidence as you possibly can.

You should read Section 7 of the 'Instructions to Candidates' for full details relating to the submission and consideration of extenuating circumstances. Please familiarise yourselves with the regulations governing extenuating circumstances in relation to assessment. For more details click here
