Bold Text - How do I add bold formatting?

Once the text has been typed, it can be formatted by selecting the text and applying the format.

The Bold icon is available in the Editor toolbar  boldIcon

Web audiences tend to scan web pages and don't read them word for word, which is why you may like to make some of your text bold. Use bold to highlight the key points of your text as this will make them stand out. Make sure the content you bold makes sense out of context i.e. highlight a whole phrase rather than just one or two words.

To add bold to your text, select the phrase or sentence you wish to format.

Use the following shortcuts to select text on the page:

  • Double-click over a word to select the word.
  • Click three times over a paragraph to select the entire paragraph.
  • To select any amount of text, click at the beginning of the text, then hold [Shift] and click at the end of the text.
  • Press [Ctrl A] to select all text in the content area of the page.

To add Bold formatting to the selected text, click on the Bold icon in the Editor toolbar boldIcon
