Your Lync 2010 status can be set in a number of ways, manually and automatically.
Your Lync status will update itself automatically by checking your Outlook calendar for appointments and meetings and show you away due to inactivity on your computer.
The different ways to set your status
- On the Microsoft Lync main window, click the Sign in as button and select your status.
- In the taskbar, Right click the Lync 2010 icon and select My Status
- Within the Lync client while signed in you are able to change your availability manually. Note: Your availability will change automatically with appointments and meeting set in your calendar and also inactivity on your computer.
