Assessment: 5,000-word dissertation
Overview: This half-unit consists of a 5,000-word dissertation on one of the following three topics: 1. The Doppelganger Figure 2. Monsters and Monstrosity 3. Ghosts and Revenants. It builds on the theory and study of the Gothic taught in ML3204, but offers students the opportunity to extend their knowledge into an area and texts not covered there. Following one meeting for all students registered, there are separate group supervisions for each of the three topics.
