COP26 Forum

As a College we will be holding a COP26 Forum to align with the  COP26 Global Conference, which will be taking place in Glasgow from 1-12 November.

The Royal Holloway COP26 Forum will involve students, staff and members of our local community, and showcase research, teaching and other initiatives by students and staff. Royal Holloway has been accredited as an official observer at COP26 in Glasgow, and and ten of our academics, from a range of different departments, will be reporting from the talks themselves. Find out more about some of our academics who will be attending COP26 here.

As a College we are also a member of the  COP26 Universities Network and we will be launching our own Sustainability Strategy during this time. Find out more about our Sustainability Strategy here

The COP26 Forum at Royal Holloway will offer a range of events hosted both online and face-to-face, from a student-chaired panel with local councillors debating decarbonisation plans for our local area, to discussions and workshops on literature and climate catastrophe.

COP26 Forum blogs

From 27 October to the last day of the COP26 talks in Glasgow, a number of our researchers will be writing a series of blog posts that relate to each of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Eating sustainably on campus

From Monday 8 November, our Catering team will be launching a number of initiatives within their food outlets.
