Nineteen months ago, the UK began the process of negotiating its withdrawal from the EU. When that process started, it was hoped that, by this point, the negotiations would be reaching their conclusion. During this time of considerable uncertainty, we have tried to demonstrate how important all our EU colleagues are to the College and to support and keep everyone up-to-date via briefings and the EU Hub.
This month’s EU Hub update contains details of the EU Settlement Scheme pilot running from 15 November to 21 December. The pilot, that the College is supporting, is specifically for staff in Higher Education Establishments who are citizens of European Union states. We have contacted colleagues directly who we believe are eligible for the EU Settlement Scheme and also sent details to Heads of Departments and Heads of Professional Services. Details of how to register and start the process will be sent on 14 November.
Below is a short film that outlines the pilot and further details on the EU Settlement Scheme, you can also find out more from the Government web page here. If you have a question that isn’t covered in these documents or believe you are eligible and have not been contacted, please contact Donna Randall.
