Basic report writing
What is it?
This workshop is designed for anyone starting out on writing reports or beginning to create documents to present to other colleagues.
Programme objectives
- How to create a report structure; including choosing what sections are required.
- How to draw together relevant content.
- How to provide suitable evidence in an appropriate format (e.g. statistical data, subjective summaries).
- How to, and when to, use an appendix to a report.
- How to use Plain English and how to measure the content of a report for accessibility.
- How to create a document which is accessible for all users, considering accessibility topics.
- Consider the style of documents which best serve the needs of Royal Holloway.
- Ensure reports are fit for purpose and relevant.
