What is it?
Preparing for Retirement workshop holds at its heart that lifestyle planning is an important factor in retirement preparation as financial planning. This workshop is designed to introduce staff holistically to the 4 core wellbeing pillars of retirement: physical wellbeing, social wellbeing, mental/emotional wellbeing and of course financial wellbeing.
The purpose of the workshop is not to tell you what you should do, everyone is different, but to give you the tools, the knowledge and the understanding to think about your own retirement in a structured way; to design consciously your “best” retirement; and by doing so create a solid framework to help you engage with the necessary and sometimes complex decisions you will face around your retirement finances.
All staff who are planning on retiring several years from now.
At the end of the workshop, you will have considered the significant change you will undergo when you retire and a multitude of aspects of planning and managing your retirement lifestyle and finances.
As a result you will have the basis for deciding when to retire, identified key elements of your retirement plan and have a framework for developing it further to ensure it meets 5 essentials of retirement: staying Physically Fit; Staying Mentally Fit; Staying Financially Fit; Maintaining or Increasing Social Contacts; and Enjoying retirement
