Eduroam is a wireless network service offered at Royal Holloway and a number of participating institutions across the UK and the rest of the world. The service allows students and colleagues from participating institutions, including Royal Holloway, to automatically connect to the wireless internet across campus and when visiting other participating institutions.
If you use eduroam, please check which operating system is running on your device and find out below what you need to do after the update on Wednesday 24 April.
If you connect to eduroam on a device running Windows 10, MacOS or iOS
No action is required. Your device will automatically connect to eduroam when the work is complete.
If you connect to eduroam on a device running Windows 7, Android, Chrome OS or Linux
You must run a very brief update on your device when the work is complete, before you can connect to eduroam again. Visit the eduroam CAT website to download the appropriate update for your device.
If you are planning to visit a participating institution on Wednesday 24 April, with no other way to download the update, please contact the IT Service Desk for advice and assistance.
Find out more about using eduroam at Royal Holloway, on our IT intranet pages.
