Altmetric Explorer (AE) is an innovative tool that tracks engagement with Royal Holloway’s research in key non-academic sources online (e.g. social media, news, key blogs and sites such as Wikipedia around the world)

To learn how Altmetrics can maximise the effectiveness of your communications and impact activities, colleagues are invited to attend a training session on Wednesday 16 January, from 12-1.30pm in PC Lab 005 - please email Organisational Development to register your attendance.

Lunch will be provided, and the session will cover:

-          The basics: what is Altmetrics and the Altmetric score

-          Find mentions of your research in news, social media, key policy sources and blogs, patents and more  - and see the source of mention (tweets, news articles, etc.)

-          Explore mentions for different timeframes, publication journals, types of mention (policy, media etc) and more

-          Analyse engagement with your departments’ or research group’s publications

-          Explore altmetric data for publications in your area at other HEIs

-          Find out how Altmetrics can support your engagement and impact activities

If you have any questions about the session please email altmetricrhul.ac.uk
