As a College, we are currently working on upgrading our finance system, Agresso, from milestone 3 to milestone 7 to move to a fully supported and remotely hosted application in the Cloud. Our current version of Agresso hasn’t been updated since 2012, is out-of-date and more importantly unsupported, and as a business critical system, any problems that arise will have a significant impact across the College.
The upgrade to Agresso is scheduled to take place from Wednesday 20 – Sunday 24 November, with the upgraded system available from Monday 25 November. To ensure that the system is ready to be upgraded and that it goes as smoothly as possible, there will also be a period of downtime where Agresso will be unavailable to all users, from the end of the day on Friday 15 November – Sunday 24 November.
This period of downtime means that all users will need to have raised all invoices, purchase orders and cleared all of their workflows on Agresso, by end of the day on Friday 15 November. All expenses also need to be in the system and approved by the end of the day on Friday 15 November, otherwise they will not be processed until after the upgrade has happened. Our Agresso team are available to help any colleagues who require assistance with any of these tasks, and can be contacted via email.
If any purchases need to be made throughout this week, please use a purchasing card. If it is not possible to use a purchasing card, please get in touch with our Procurement team who will be able to make critical purchases on your behalf.
Although the upgraded system will visually look different and the way in which tasks are accessed may slightly change, all of the workflows will remain the same. A series of training has been created for Agresso users, in the form of written quick guides and online interactive training that will be available on Moodle shortly. Classroom training and drop-in sessions will also be delivered by our Agresso team from 18 November and for a few weeks beyond. More information about the training and how to sign up to the sessions can be found on this webpage.
