From Monday 13 - Friday 24 January, all current staff College Cards will be exchanged for a new updated card that contains technology which will allow us to make future improvements to areas across the College.

The card collection process will take place in the Davison Building atrium and in Huntersdale ground floor foyer during the times listed in the table below.

You will need to exchange your current College Card for your new one, so please ensure that you bring your existing card along with you.  

If a colleague will be collecting your new College Card on your behalf, please ensure that they bring your existing card along with them, otherwise we will be unable to provide them with your new card.

If you don’t currently have a staff College Card, please contact our Security team who will be able to provide you with one. 

For colleagues based in Huntersdale

A number of rooms in Huntersdale use SMARTair locks, so you will need to exchange your current College Card for your new one to gain access into the rooms. For colleagues who arrive on campus before 8am, a member of our Security team will be based in the building from 7am on Monday 13 January to provide you with access into rooms, before the College Card collection process begins at 8am.

As per the current process, you will need to continue to revalidate your new College Card every seven days, using the SMARTair updaters located at each of the entrances into Huntersdale.

SMARTair locks

If you are based within a room on campus that uses a SMARTair lock you will need to exchange your current College Card for a new one from 8am on Monday 13 January to gain access into the room. Alternatively, please call our Security team on 01784 443063 who will provide you with access. Please note, you will already know if you are based within a room that contains a SMARTair lock.

As per the current process, you will need to continue to revalidate your new College Card every seven days, using the SMARTair updaters located at each of building entrances that contain SMARTair locks.

Funds on your existing College Card

Any funds that you have on your current College Card will be automatically transferred across to your new updated card when you exchange them.
