The College’s new Code of Good Practice for Research sets out clear expectations around research and provides a framework for supporting and enhancing research activity. It is a substantial updating of the 2008 Guidelines on Research Governance, Research Ethics and Good Research Practice and is written to take into account the 2019 Concordat to Support Research Integrity, Concordat to support the Career Development of Researchers and new funder requirements and to sit alongside the newly updated Research Expectations document and Ethics Policy and Guidance.
The Code underpins our commitment to supporting a healthy research culture and is one of a suite of initiatives which include:
- New resources and guidance on the intranet
- Training sessions
- Improved and updated Ethics policy, processes and guidance
We have also updated our Covid-19 related guidance on Face to Face interactions for research.
