The new Enterprise Hub in the Emily Wilding Davison building will be launching at the beginning of next term for use by students, alumni, colleagues and local businesses. The timetable for Term Two is being finalised, which will be delivered by a range of colleagues from across different departments and schools, as well as from external providers.  

Royal Holloway Innovation is a new initiative which is focused on working with academic and professional services colleagues across the College to increase innovation, enterprise, skills and entrepreneurialism for students, colleagues and nascent local entrepreneurs.  The Enterprise Hub space is part of the initiative and provides a physical presence for these activities to take place.

From next term, a range of activities will take place in the Enterprise Hub, as well as virtually and in other spaces on campus.

These include a weekly support programme delivered through the existing Royal Holloway Enterprise Hub team’s student and alumni support initiatives, and another weekly programme through the Business Clinic, both facilitated by academic colleagues in the School of Business and Management. More information on each of these will be available shortly.

In addition, ad hoc activities delivered through CodeGroovers, an initiative designed and delivered by academic colleagues in the School of Computer Science, will take place in the space.

The Careers team may also be delivering a range of weekly in-person careers consultancy and other activities in the space during term time from the start of Term Two. Information and booking for these will be available on the Careers Portal.

A number of external organisations will be providing support for students, alumni and local businesses. The dates and application process for these will be finalised soon.

An event programme to support enterprising activities across the four Challenge-led initiatives to engage with local businesses, students and enterprises will also be launched next year.

More information on the timetable of activities will be available soon, and we look forward to welcoming students and colleagues to the space in the New Year.

The space is also available for use for meetings and events. A number of events engaging with industry or funders have already taken place this term in the space. We welcome colleagues from across the College requesting use of the space on an ad-hoc, or more regular, basis to engage in enterprising activities with students, businesses and funders.
