UCEA, who negotiate pay on behalf of universities, have advised that the 2021-22 national pay award negotiations have been concluded with a final employer offer.
Colleagues on points 5 to 23 of the College pay scale will receive an increase ranging from 9% (at point 5) to 3.1% (at point 21). Other colleagues including those on main scale points 22 to 49, Professorial Grades and Grade 10 will receive a 3% increase.
The pay award is effective from 1 August 2022 and will be paid in the August salary for the majority of colleagues. A small number of non-standard pay arrangements will have the adjustment made in September and will therefore receive payment, including arrears for August in September’s salary.
