The recruitment of international students is crucial for the prospects of the College, both to build on the global nature of our community on campus and financially in the context of the home students fee regime. Pillar 2 of the strategic plan aims to expand international recruitment to be closer to our peer universities.
We are pleased to announce an expansion of the 11-year partnership with Study Group beyond the successful pathway programmes delivered at the RH International Study Centre. In future, Study Group will be taking over responsibility for supporting our network of international agents in most countries of the world and recruiting and admitting international students directly to Royal Holloway’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Our International Student Recruitment team will continue to focus on agent management in the EU and North America, and on working with prospective students from non-agent channels, such as schools and digital. Admission decisions will continue to be made against the current Royal Holloway defined entry criteria.
As a leading provider of international education with offices all over the world, the expansion of our partnership with Study Group will give the College access to their extensive global network of international student recruitment agents, and overseas marketing expertise, helping to increase awareness of Royal Holloway and drive demand from students considering overseas study. The new service will begin from 1st November 2022 and colleagues from across the College having been working closely with those from Study Group to ensure a smooth transition. An expanded team will be supporting this new collaboration going forward.
