This month, we launch our new student recruitment advertising campaign and for the first time this includes a TV ad. Filmed back in July, it features several of our current students as the main focus, with campus as a fantastic backdrop. The ad targets prospective students and will be shown on ITV, Channel 4 and other channels via ‘Broadcast Video on Demand’ (otherwise known as BVOD or streaming services).
The rest of the campaign includes familiar formats like social media ads on TikTok – where we were one of the first universities to advertise – Snapchat and Instagram, ads on target podcasts and websites, and Google Search. While primarily targeting prospective students by age and location, parents and other influencers are also taken into account, by using posters and billboards around the London and South-East region.
The ads will run during the autumn and will likely be repeated in the second half of the academic year.
