Under GDPR the College has an increased responsibility to report data breaches to the Information Commissioner’s Office and as such colleagues are asked to familiarise themselves with the new Data Breach Reporting Procedure and associated form. We have only 72 hours in which to report a breach to the ICO which means swift reporting internally is crucial.

We have also produced a Retention Policy and reissued the previous Records Retention Schedule for colleagues to use. Discussions are underway with the Data Stewards about updating the schedule which we anticipate will be ready in the first part of the next academic year.
