Mental Health Awareness Week takes place Monday 14 to Friday 18 May and colleagues are encouraged to take some time to focus on their personal health and wellbeing.
Staff Health and Wellbeing supports an holistic approach and covers the physical, mental and social wellbeing of staff. Not one size fits all and the team has developed a range of activities for colleagaues over the last year.

Staff Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga classes bring together all the facets of yoga in a unique and effective way. Come and strengthen and stretch your body, stimulate your glandular system and calm your mind. Beginners and those with physical limitations welcome.

Staff Colouring Group
Meet colleagues for coffee, conversation and colouring over lunch (BYO Lunch). Pencils and diagrams provided unless staff want to bring their own. Very informal, stay as long as you want.

Weekly Staff Complementary Therapist Sessions
Alternating between the main campus and Huntersdale on a Friday. Treatments offered are; Indian Head Massage, Hand and Arm Massage and Foot and Leg Massage.
£10 for 25 minutes. Slots available 9am - 5.30 pm.

From June a new Staff Knitting and Crocheting Group will be meeting every Tuesday in the Breath Space in Founder's Building from 12.30 pm. Suitable for all levels.

Step into Spring Team and Individual Walking Challenge
This month 25 teams and a number of individuals are participating in our Step into Spring Team and Individual Walking Challenge as part of National Walking Month. In week one, over 500,000 steps were walked by our staff.
Throughout May, a number of led lunchtime walks have also been arranged. There is no need to book. Just turn up. You do not need to be participating in the Walking Challenge to join any of the lunchtime walks. Dates and times of the led walks are on the Staff Events page.
On Wednesday 30 May, we will be launching our weekly Wednesday Walk. Meet at 12.30 pm at the Gold Postbox in Founder's Square where we will follow one of our Campus Walks. The duration of the walk is approximately 30 minutes.
Employee Assistance Programme
Don’t forget to make use of the College’s funded Employee Assistance Programme which is available to support staff juggle the demands of work and personal life. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days and 365 days per year and is accessible by phone, email and website. It is confidential and independent from College.
Juggling work and work responsibilities can be extremely challenging and we are running an event on Tuesday 12 June, 10.30am -2pm specifically for colleagues who are carers as part of National Carers Week. Further details to follow shortly on the Staff Events page.
