Jan 02 2018
Welcome back! I hope that you’ve had an enjoyable break and that you’re looking forward to 2018.

Although many of us were on leave, other colleagues were on duty over the festive period. If you were one of the colleagues working over the break, supporting our students and maintaining our infrastructure, thank you.

2018 is a milestone year in the history of the UK, marking 100 years since the Representation of the People act was enacted. We will be joining in the celebrations, and more about our plans will follow later this month.

On Monday 15 January, the National Student Survey (NSS) goes live. The NSS seeks to gather feedback on a student’s entire university experience. It is one of the most important measures of success for us and, critically, for potential new students. You can read more information, including guidance for colleagues, on our intranet pages. In future newsletters I’ll talk more about NSS and other initiatives that help us to deliver against our mid-term action plan.

I would like to wish everyone a successful 2018, and look forward to wishing you a Happy New Year in person soon.
