We are responsible for negotiating a range of research related agreements on behalf of the College.
This includes, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating research related agreements, suggesting risk mitigations where the terms of the agreement are not ideal, and recommending agreements that fulfil the College’s requirement to the authorised signatory of the College.
Research Contracts also support the grant application and government funding application process by writing or reviewing the Intellectual Property section of grant applications or government funding applications (other than Innovate UK grant applications and follow on funding applications) with an award value of at least £500K. This service is currently provided only for the School of Engineering, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, the School of Humanities, and the School of Life Sciences and the Environment.
