  • The Health and Safety Office works within the Directorate of Governance and Legal Services and are based at Huntersdale. The Health and Safety team provide advice, assistance and involvement at operational and strategic levels, as is necessary to ensure that the health and safety standards to which the College is committed are met. Such standards are those prescribed by legal, best practice and other relevant criteria, including those established from the risk assessment process.

Day to day, colleagues in the Health and Safety Office:

  1. Formulate and review policies and procedures.
  2. Provide advice and assistance on the implementation of these policies and procedures.
  3. Develop procedures and processes to assist with the management of health and safety.
  4. Provide training and ensure the establishment of standards of training to meet identified needs, including those required by law.
  5. Review, on behalf of the College, compliance with legal, best practice and College standards (auditing).
