Supporting our people in improving safety and maintaining a healthy community.

Welcome to the Health and Safety Office at Royal Holloway, University of London.

We provide comprehensive advice and assistance across the broad subject of occupational health and safety, including fire safety. We help ensure the College complies with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and that studying, working, or visiting the college is not at the detriment to anyone’s health, safety, or wellbeing.

The college’s philosophy for health and safety is summarised as POLAR BEAR.

POLAR is the what the college expects from all of its students and staff while BEAR is how the Health and Safety Office will support students and colleagues.
