The Health and Safety Policies are being moved into a new format to make the requirements clearer.
Policy is what must be done and process is how it should it done. Health and Safety Policies will include both in one document.
A summary of policy requirements, which can be sorted by role, can be found here.
At the start of each new format policy will be an orange box that will highlight the key requirements of the policy.
The main body will be split into numbered requirements that are highlighted in orange. Under each requirement will sit the process and guidance on how this requirement should be met. Other means of completing the requirements are acceptable as long as they are at least as good as the process/guidance in the policy.
At the end of each policy will be a summary of the requirements by role, making it easy for individuals to find out what is expected of their role.
