The Head of External Spaces will manage external walkways on behalf of the College to ensure that they do not present a risk to health and safety.
The Director of Health, Safety and Business Continuity will ensure that all external walkways are surveyed on an annual basis and any defects are reported.
The outcome of each walkway survey must be captured in a report and promulgated to stakeholders.
The Health and Safety Officer (Compliance) will monitor outstanding actions from walkway surveys to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed timescale.
As well as logging hazards the Health and Safety Office will identify high risk areas that are in good condition and log these as Risk Rating 0.
