Open Access resources will be used in research as well as being produced by researchers at the College. The table below outlines how to search and access OA resources such as books and journals. OA articles sometimes have the OA badge or the words "Open Access" displayed on the record. By using LibrarySearch and the other services listed here in the OA journals and articles and OA books sections, there will be the benefit that the resources have usually been through academic peer review and evaluation.
The "Journals - deciding where to publish" tab covers some criteria for evaluating journal titles when deciding where to publish.
The websites tab covers the evaluation of websites such as ResearchGate and Mendeley both from the point of view of using the material for research as well as adding material as a researcher. It is important to establish the publisher's policy before adding any copyright.
