Royal Holloway Equality Scheme and Objectives
As an institution we are required to publish information demonstrating our compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty, including specific measurable objectives.
Our 2018-21 Equality Scheme sets out Royal Holloway, University of London’s approach to equality and diversity, both as an employer (staff) and as a provider of academic, educational and research experience (students). The equality objectives link with the key strategic objectives of the College.
Staff and students have been widely consulted and our new Equality and Diversity Scheme has incorporated the feedback and comments from the consultation. The scheme is currrently in its final draft and will be uploaded onto these webpages shortly. For further informaiton please email equality@rhul.ac.uk.
Equality Impact Assessment
We have developed Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) guidance to ensure that our staff actively consider how a policy or practice meets the three requirements of the general equality duty mentioned above. Documentation includes: EIA Guidance and an EIA Template Form. We also offer training courses to staff to familiarise them with processes and requirements relating to EIAs.
