In November 2019 the College achieved the HR Excellence in Research award, which requires us as an organisation to demonstrate our commitment and compliance with the UKConcordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers and its principles.
In November 2021 we submitted our first two year review of this to Vitae, who lead on the award in the UK. We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in retaining the award. As part of this review we consulted research colleagues through a survey and focus groups, to understand their views on our progress since the original award and compare our current practices against the principles of the Concordat. We considered this in conjunction with our 3 year strategic plan for research, and the insights gained have enabled us to develop a new forward-looking action plan.
You can read our full two-year review submission here and over the coming months our working group will focus on implementing the action plan.
