Managing your research publications and data

 These sessions will provide an overview of the college systems and services for research publications and data. They will provide an overview of Open Access and research data management including HEFCE and funder’s requirements and give advice and practical support on how to meet them and raise the profile of your research. 

Topics include:

Open Access for research publications: the REF and funder's requirements and how to meet them

An overview to Open Access followed by practical opportunities to look at how to make research publications OA via Pure.

Pure: getting started with creating your staff profile on the College's research Information system

An introduction to creating and updating your staff profile on the College website using Pure. To understand how to raise your research profile and visibility via research publications using Pure. An opportunity to get practical support with Pure profiles.

Writing an Effective Data Management and Technical Plan

An interactive session where participants will write a data management plan. The session will address what a good data management plan should contain and how they can be used to strengthen funding applications. All attendees should register for DMPOnline (https://dmponline.dcc.ac.uk) in advance of the session and be prepared to write a data management plan for a research project.

Introduction to Research Data Management

Gain knowledge of the principles of research data management, learn some practical tips for managing research data, hear about new systems being implemented in the College.
