Student Advisory & Wellbeing virtual drop-in sessions 

We offer virtual daily drop-in sessions for students each week day during term time with our teams.  Please note you may be required to wait to join if an adviser is with another student but the adviser will be you in to the drop-in as soon as they are available.

Clinical Mental Health

Supporting you….with your mental health 

How have we changed?

Initial contact will be by email with online appointments on MS Teams as follow up.   

What to expect?

Our service will remain the same with an adapted delivery, digital by default via MS Teams as well as online resources that are currently being developed.

Face to face appointments - if possible and when assessed as required – will be socially distanced and may be with face coverings and / or visors and / or screens. 

Please note that face to face appointments are not available during periods of national or local lockdown. 

How to contact us?

Initially contact will be self-referral via email or referral from the GP Surgery and follow up support agreed in discussion with a Mental Health Practitioner.

Pre-booked online appointments will be available between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Outside of these times emergency help and support options can be found on the student intranet or via campus security

Face to face appointments - if posisble and when assessed as required – will be socially distanced and may be with face coverings and / or visors and / or screens.

Services will be run in line with Church, Muslim Council of Britain and government guidelines.

When are we available?

Chaplains will be available by online appointment between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday and may deliver online services outside of these times.

The Chapel is open 8am - 5pm each weekday for prayer, contemplation, and as a quiet space on campus.

The Muslim Prayer room is accessed using access control on your student card.  Please contact Nisar for more details.

Student Counselling

Supporting you….with counselling support  

How have we changed?

Initial contact will be by email with telephone or online appointments on MS Teams by default.

 

What to expect?

Our service will remain the same with an adapted delivery, digital by default via MS Teams as well as online resources that are currently being developed.

Face to face appointments - if posisble and  when assessed as required – will be socially distanced and may be with face coverings and / or visors and / or screens.  Face to face counselling where required and only if it is Covid-19 safe. 

Please note that face-to-face appointments are not available during periods of local or national lockdown.

During term time the wellbeing advisers hold an online drop-in between 11am - 2pm on weekdays.  Click here during these times to join the drop-in.

Please note you may be required to wait if an adviser is with another student.  A wellbeing adviser will let you in to the drop-in as soon as they are available.
