Accessibility

Royal Holloway Sport promotes an inclusive atmosphere for all users of its centre. Please see below for more information on our facilities.

Getting to Royal Holloway Sports Centre

Our Sports Centre is accessible using many modes of transport and is within easy walking distance of the centre of Egham.

Train

The nearest train station is Egham, with trains to and from London Waterloo arriving every 20 minutes. There is step free access at this station as well as level access to all platforms and  accessible ticket machines.

From Egham station, there is step free access to the back gate of the Royal Holloway campus, where our Sports Centre is located.

Bus

A number of bus routes pass through Egham High Street and Egham Hill, which then require a short walk onto campus. For wheelchair users or those with mobility issues, we would recommend a bus which stops on Egham High Street, to avoid using any roads with slopes on your journey to the Sports Centre.

Car Parking

Royal Holloway Sports Centre is accessible via the M25 and the A30. The address for satellite navigation is TW20 9TR. This is a separate entrance from main Royal Holloway campus.

There are 61 parking spaces at the front of the Sports Centre with 5 of these reserved for blue badge users. There is also a further gravel car park at the far end of the centre, with the capacity for another 40 cars. There is an ANPR system in use at the Sports Centre. All users will receive two hours free parking without registration and after this time, will be subject to Penalty Charge Notices. Those wishing to park for longer than two hours should register at reception.

Our facility is step free and accessible, however wheelchair users or those with mobility issues can request to have the main exit gate opened to avoid using the exit turnstile in the Fitness Suite.

Our gym has step free access from both our main entrance and from our changing rooms and toilets. Much of our equipment/machinery is adaptable for use by members with different needs.

Our accessible toilet and shower is located in the main reception of the Sports Centre. A special key is not required for access. An emergency alarm is fitted in this toilet.
