iTunes Phishing Email

Stay secure from this phishing campaign

We became aware of a new phishing campaign that aims to extract money in form of iTunes gift cards.

The hacker gathers information that is publicly accessible and then tries to create a realistic message, using an email address similar to the official, college one and providing a signature at the end. The message is sent to colleagues of the impersonated user, claiming that the user is in a meeting, unable to use the phone and urgently needs an iTunes gift card.

This message has a notably urgent tone and bad grammar..

If you receive this email, do not reply to the email, share it with the IT Service Desk and then delete the email.
