Microsoft has cautioned owners of personal email accounts from Outlook.com, MSN.com and Hotmail, that unidentified individuals gained access to an internal customer support account. That allowed them to view data in a large number of user accounts. including birth dates, mailbox folder names and stats, login history, and some calendar data

Micrososft advised that no corporate accounts were affected and that all affected users have received a notification email advising them to change their passwords.
