NHS Leadership Academy
The NHS Leadership Academy is a multi-award winning Graduate Management Training Scheme that will puts you on the road to developing the skills and confidence you need to lead the organisation through its transformation into an ever more efficient, successful and professional health care service.
Participants enjoy mentoring, support and first-class training from some of the most brilliant minds in and outside the NHS.
There are currently six schemes on offer suitable for students for many subject areas with specific specialisms:

- Policy and Strategy

His career started here
In autumn term, Royal Holloway graduate Stephen Kidd shared his career path to date with students at an alumni panel. Stephen has a degree in Biochemistry and a masters in Biological Sciences Research. He now works as NHS Clinical Scientist and is Head of Molectular Diagnostics and point of care lead for Microbiology at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
His role has two main themes, first being part of the infection team’s delivery of a clinical service and secondary running the molecular diagnostics service at Hampshire Hospitals.
Knowledge is key to doing Stephen’s job and he describes it as "stimulating, high-pressured and rewarding".
