Applications for this year's Career Development Awards and College Prizes have now closed!

 If you applied for one of the Career Development Awards or College Prizes you will be informed of the decision of the Allocation Panel by Thursday 21 May 2020.Please note that this notification will be sent to the email address you supplied with your application. If you do not receive notification by this date please check your spam or junk folders before contacting Student Services or Student Administration.

Career Development Awards

The  Dame Felicity Lott Scholarship is open to all final year students who intend to progress to a professional career as a performer of music and can be used to help with the costs of professional training. The bursary is not restricted to students from the Department of Music. One award of £5,000 is available.

The  Kathleen Nixon Award is open to female students graduating this academic year or who have recently graduated from Royal Holloway. It is intended to help with training for a profession or a vocation. Three awards of £1,000 each are available.

College Prizes

The Mary MacPherson Essay Prize is awarded in recognition of a piece of journalistic writing of high distinction. Six prizes of £300 each are available.

The Max Carey Memorial Prize is awarded for work showing initiative and enterprise. Academic work is not usually considered for this award unless it is exceptional. Two prizes of £500 each are available.

Applications for the Travel and Research Awards have now closed. Due to the current situation with coronavirus (Covid-19) there has been some delay in the panel reaching a decision about the awards. Applicants will be informed of a decision shortly. We appreciate your patience at this uncertain time.
