A talk with Raúl Cañibano, one of Cuba's greatest living photographers, looking into the stories behind his works and career.

Part of the 'This is Cuba' exhibition programme, we are thrilled to welcome photographer Raúl Cañibano, accompanied by exhibition co-curator Dr James Clifford Kent, who will give insight into his work and practice within Cuba and the selection of works on display within the Exhibition Space.

Raúl Cañibano is a Havana based photographer. Born in 1961, his work focuses on people and demonstrates the vitality of modern-day Cuban photography. He has exhibited world-wide and won a major prize in Cuba for a project on the life of rural workers.

"My photography is about people –connecting with them and showing their everyday lives. Cuba is fantastic for documentary photography and each week I thank God for my life."
