In celebration of LGBT History Month the Library will be displaying some of our LGBT themed Archive material. The displays will focus on the Gay Sweatshop Theatre Company whose archive is held here at Royal Holloway. The display is the direct result of archive research undertaken by the LGBT+ student society.
The materials will be on display from Monday 4 February throughout the month, on the Lower Ground Floor of the Library, and will be updated weekly to show new items from the collection, with the main focus being the efforts to stage the first play to address AIDS in Britain.
We have also recently launched an Introduction to Trans Awareness course for the College community on Moodle. The course includes a section on 'How to be a Trans Ally' and explores the topic of inclusive language.
