Last year we invested significantly in the Fitness Suite by replacing all of the equipment and improving the environment. Investment in our sports facilities will continue over the summer, with improvements to our Sports Centre toilets and changing rooms.
Following members’ input and feedback, we’re aware that they these facilities currently aren’t quite up to scratch with the cramped and inefficient use of space and outdated decor. To address this, as a College we are making a significant investment to renovate the male and female toilets and indoor changing rooms. This will include new toilets, showers, lockers, lighting and flooring, as well as the addition of dry cubicle changing for extra privacy and vanity areas including hairdryers (see the early concept images above).
Understandably, there will be some disruption to regular service during the renovations, therefore Sports Centre users will be asked to use the Pavilion showers and toilets temporarily, for the duration of the works. We apologise for the disruption this may cause.
The works will start on Monday 8 July and are due to be completed by Monday 16 September in time for the start of the next academic year, providing a better and more comfortable experience for all students, colleagues and community members.
