Since the closure of campus due to coronavirus (Covid-19), our Library Services team have been working hard to offer our services online, where possible. Following the recent government announcement that libraries can legally reopen, we appreciate that many students and staff now want to know when we will be reopening our onsite services.

Campus will be ready to re-open fully in September for the start of term. Ahead of that, and in line with wider campus planning, we are undertaking work to prepare for the phased reopening of the library building and services within it. In order to do this, we first need to bring staff back safely onto campus, and implement measures to make the building Covid-secure for everybody.

The external book return box is now open so you can return your Library loans on-campus at any time. We will be introducing a ‘click and collect’ service for loans, which we aim to make available soon. We will let you know when we have a date for that service. Later phases will include reopening some study spaces to users in line with social distancing guidelines.

There may be limited opportunities for students who are unable to study at home to access study space on campus. If you are unable to study elsewhere, you should contact supportingyou@royalholloway.ac.uk to discuss your study circumstances.
