On Tuesday 16 November, the Universities and Colleges Union (UCU) announced that, following a ballot of their members, they will take three days of strike action, from Wednesday 1 December to Friday 3 December. Members will also take action short of strike, which involves working to contract, for up to five months.

Given the disruption many of our students have faced over recent years, we are very mindful of our responsibility to mitigate the impact of any strike action by either making up for lost learning, or taking account of any missed learning in assessments. Whilst we recognise colleagues’ right to take strike action, we will be seeking to minimise the impact of any action on students.

If you are concerned that the action has impacted your studies you should, in the first instance, speak to your personal tutor, or your School Office.
