We’re sharing an update following an incident at Egham train station on Friday, in which three students were injured.

We’re relieved to confirm that the injuries are not life-threatening. Our teams have been in close, ongoing contact with those affected and are working alongside external partners to make sure the students are being fully supported during what we know is a very difficult time.

Thank you to everyone who has shared kind messages and concern. We’re also very grateful to the emergency services for their swift response, and to our colleagues who have been closely supporting the students.

Police arrested a suspect shortly after the incident and confirmed there was no ongoing threat. There have since been two further arrests.

We know that information can spread quickly online following incidents like this, and not all of it is accurate. To avoid misinformation, please rely on official updates from the British Transport Police.

We want to reassure you that this was an isolated incident and, thankfully, something that is very rare within our community.
