Please be aware that an unexpected leak has affected some areas of the Library in the Davison Building. The Library remains open, but some areas will continue to be affected while we carry out repairs. Please find updates for access today and tomorrow below.
Friday 16 January
Our Estates team will be carrying out repairs on Friday. As a result, the following areas will be impacted:
- The lower ground floor will be closed all day.
- All toilets in the library will be closed; alternative toilets are available in the Social Bite café (ground floor of the Davison Building), the Founders Building, and the Arts Building.
- The Archive Reading Room will be closed.
Please follow directions from signs and the Library team as our Estates team works to resolve this issue. We apologise for any noise or disruption caused by this essential work.
Over the weekend
- Repair works have been carried out and most toilets will become available on Saturday 17 January.
- The accessible toilets will remain closed until Monday 19 January; alternative toilets are available in the Social Bite café (ground floor of the Davison Building), the Founders Building, and the Arts Building.
- Please continue to follow signs and directions from the Library team.
Monday 19 January
- Final repair works will be carried out on Monday. During this time, the Lower Ground Floor toilets will be closed along with the accessible toilets.
