Profile

I studied philosophy and formal logic in Kraków, psychoanalysis in the Netherlands, and literature in London. I have written on Freud and free will, on the modern British novel (Julian Barnes), and on South African fiction. My PhD concentrated on the image of the mutilated body and metaphor in the works of J.M. Coetzee from the perspective of cognitive science.

I am the programme leader of Contemporary Britain courses, where I teach modern British history, politics, art, and literature. My experience in CeDAS includes co-leading the Pre-sessional English Language Programme, teaching academic skills workshops, and acting as a personal tutor on the Pre-Masters Diploma for International Students (PDIS).
