Profile In 1995, after several years of teaching abroad (Japan, Europe and north Africa), I settled at Royal Holloway where I took a lead role in the development and delivery of several EAP (English for Academic Purposes) programmes for multilingual international students. I am now working with CeDAS colleagues to fulfil our expanded remit which reaches out to both home and international students in all parts of the university. My current responsibilities are largely focussed on activities that aim to enable students from different backgrounds to excel in their academic studies within discipline-specific settings.
Research interests

My current Interests include:

  • the development of writing skills through peer mentoring;
  •  ‘Internationalisation at home’ especially the development of intercultural competence for mixed nationality group-work in university settings (LTQC working party).
