Student Services Centre

The Student Services Centre is your first point of contact for any non-academic queries and can signpost you to other College services.

Opening times over the Christmas break

The Student Services Centre will be closed over the Christmas period, from Friday 24 December 2021 to Tuesday 4 January 2022. We will also close at 3pm on Thursday 23 December and all day on Friday 17 December. 

School Helpdesks

Your School Helpdesk is your first point of contact for any academic queries.

Opening times over the Christmas break

Physical School Helpdesks will be closed during the festive break (Monday 13 December - Thursday 23 December and Tuesday 4 January - Friday 7 January), but during these dates, they will be operating phonelines on weekdays from 10am to 4pm, or you can contact them via email. They will then be fully closed from Thursday 23 December - Tuesday 4 January. You can find email and phone numbers for each School Helpdesk here

Hall Life

As a new student, the best way to find out everything you need to know about starting your studies and joining our university community, is by downloading the Welcome to Royal Holloway app. The Welcome to Royal Holloway guide contains important information, including aspects of student life, details of your course induction and various welcome activities. 

There is also the Hall Life guide for students moving into Halls of Residence. This guide contains practical advice for living with others and details of support available to you.

Halls Customer Services

If you're moving into Halls, when you arrive onto campus you will need to report to your Hall Reception to check-in. If you are arriving outside of Hall Reception opening hours, you will need to check in at the College Security Office, which is located opposite the Visitors' Centre in the Founder's Building.  Find out more about moving into Halls.

  • Updating the conditions of your offer
  • Receiving or amending a CAS
  • Questioning your fee status assessment
  • Changing your course details before you enrol

Wellbeing: Support and Guidance


Our Wellbeing Advisers are here to support all students with their general wellbeing and can provide non-clinical advice about maintaining good wellbeing and also guidance on transition and adjustment to university life. 

The Advisers will be available for 1-2-1 meetings on Teams and in person for any query you may have related to your health and wellbeing.

Wellbeing: Disability and Neurodiversity


The Disability and Neurodiversity team support all students who have disclosed a disability, long standing medical condition, specific learning difficulty or mental health condition. Their support includes making reasonable adjustments, diagnostic assessments, academic & study skills advice, specialist mentoring, access to a mental health adviser and DSA guidance.

Disability Advisers will be available for 1-2-1 meetings on Teams or in-person if you have questions about disability support or registering with them

Wellbeing: Money and funding advice


The Money and Funding Advisers offer advice and guidance on a variety of financial matters to all students including budgeting advice, access to financial support through the Study Support Grant, debt management, money saving tips, and advice on benefits. 

The  Advisers will be available for 1-2-1 meetings on Teams or in person to discuss financial support and provide advice on budgeting.  

Please note that due to staff changes in the team our response time may be reduced during December and January.  The team will respond as quickly as possible.

Wellbeing support over the Christmas break

The Wellbeing department continue to offer support in the break between terms one and two but there are adaptations to how you can access support and we operate a slightly reduced service.

  • Initial contact by teams over the break should be by email to team mailboxes - see contact details in the drop down boxes on this page.
  • Emergency support options are detailed here including details of mental health crisis lines and support via Student Space (Student Minds).
  • The online and in-person drop-ins pause and will re-commence on Monday 10 January 2022. 

All services will close for the Christmas and New Year period. From 5pm on Thursday 23 December 2021 until  Tuesday 4 January 2022 team mailboxes will not be checked. During this time urgent concerns can be emailed to as this mailbox will be regularly checked. 

Please note this email should not be relied on for emergency or crisis contact and you should seek appropriate emergency support from external services or by contacting campus security if you are on campus.

There are some billing and fee related queries that you can contact the Student Administration team for. Please email for the following queries:

  • If your billing on Campus Connect is incorrect
  • If your alumni discount is incorrect or not appearing
  • Any other discounts that haven’t been applied to your Tuition Fees
  • If you’ve fully completed enrolment but your Student Loans Company registration isn’t confirmed
  • Any bursary queries
