Held on the first day of Student Volunteering Week 2014 to see a wave of volunteering across the UK, with students out in their local communities making a positive difference and having fun. This will showcase students giving back to their communities, focusing on themes such as kindness and happiness.
Royal Holloway University of London, Students’ Union RHUL and Strode’s College “Helping Happy Neighbours’ Students from the University and the local college will undertake a host of good deeds in areas that are often negatively impacted by students. When working with local residents they’ll be given “I’m a happy neighbour” window sticker to show that they’ve been involved in the scheme which will act as a reminder of the positive things students have done for them and their community.
