Ensembles at Royal Holloway

You will be impressed by the multiplicity and diversity of musical activity on offer at Royal Holloway University of London. Each year we run a full concert series with programmes that reflect the diverse interests of students and staff. There is plenty of opportunity for students to perform on a regular basis in the three lunchtime recitals each week during term, and often these opportunities are led by the many staff and student-led ensembles.

Having a large group of students, many of whom are excellent performers in a range of styles, also permits the formation of a variety of student-initiated ensembles or ad hoc groups for one-off performances. The department warmly welcomes, and does its best to support, these student initiatives, whether in popular music, jazz, folk, chamber, choral, orchestral or other styles.
