Finding a placement is your responsibility, but the University provides considerable support in terms of careers advice, application form checking, interview preparation and presentations from organisations offering placements
The 2015 High Fliers report suggests 31% of graduate vacancies are expected to be filled by students who already have experience within their organisation, through paid internships, industrial placements or vacation work
You have an option of doing a placement between 2nd and 3rd years of your course. During your placement year you will be supported by the University and your employer before returning to campus to complete your final year
The work-based learning provided by a placement is of huge value to you as you have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and understanding of management theory to workplace situations
